A.C.C.E.S.S. Program

A.C.C.E.S.S. Program

Hosted by Wilmington College and the Warren County Educational Service Center

Academic College Campus Experience for Student Success (A.C.C.E.S.S.) is a college campus experience in the truest sense. This three-day program allows current high school sophomores and juniors the opportunity to not only gain college preparatory skills but also immerse themselves in a real college experience. Students in the ACCESS program will participate in personality and learning styles testing, gain valuable insight towards success in college, participated in an ACT prep class, explore future career goals and opportunities, and more.

By hosting this program at Wilmington College, the student participants will spend the night in campus housing, learn about the college facilities, and engage with current college students as well as faculty and administrators each day. ACCESS offers both in-class and “extracurricular” hands-on activities such as working with different programs of study, volunteer service, recreational activities and more. After completion of this program, high school students will have a better understanding of their strengths and areas for improvement as they head down their path towards college and a career.
