Activity Overview
Young campers are immersed in the world of aviation through hands-on experiences, lesson-based activities and airport operations field trips on the grounds of one of the world’s busiest airports. Learn how a plane flies through classroom instruction, museum exploration, and flight simulators. Talk to an FAA licensed Drone Expert and meet military and commercial airline pilots, visit Duke Energy’s hangar and get inside of a helicopter, learn about the Airport Fire Rescue team and see their Fire Trucks, and take a personalized tour of the Charlotte-Douglas Airport and American Airlines Maintenance Facility.
