ATX Kids Club

We are on a mission to inspire youth to fearlessly explore and become independent, self-confident individuals through educational and health-minded adventures. We aim to influence youth to expand their thinking and positively impact the world around them.

ATX Kids Club is one of the most adventure-some programs in Austin with a different educational field trip every day! Our campers learn so much about Austin and how to explore their own city. Our 5 day/week program includes traveling on CapMetro to our favorite destinations.

Average Group: 8 campers to 1 Field Trip Leader and 1 Volunteer.
Children will travel with a Field Trip Leader via CapMetro to their scheduled destination, explore, enjoy a picnic lunch, explore some more, and then return back to their drop off/pick up location. The schedule of activities are planned in advance but subject to change due to weather.

There is a great deal of walking, with a focus on fitness and healthy eating during our camp.

Each week of summer camp we explore different locations based around a theme, and may include some or all of the listed adventures below.

We also include weekly visits to Kids Camp Movie, Nature Walks, Splash Pads, Firehouse, libraries, and parks. Our registration page displays which theme is offered each week.
• Nature Week: Austin Nature & Science Center, Zilker Botanical Gardens, Zilker Splash Exhibit (Aquifers), Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, Umlauf Sculpture Garden, Nature Walks & Bug Hunts, Mayfield Park, UT's turtle pond
• Texas Week: Texas State Capitol, Texas State Cemetery, Texas State History Museum, Elisabet Ney Museum, City Hall, Governor's Mansion, Camp Mabry, LBJ Library, UT Stark Center & Stadium Tour, O'Henry & Susannah Dickinson house.
• Art Week: Blanton Museum, Mexic-Arte Museum, Museum of Collectibles, Laguna Gloria, Umlauf Sculpture Garden. Elisabet Ney Museum, Mexic-Arte Museum, Harry Ransom Center.
• Diversity Week: George Washington Carver Museum, Texas School for the Blind, African American Heritage and Cultural Center, Mexican American Cultural Center, Community First Village.
• Health/Fitness Week: tours could possibly include: Central Market, Whole Foods, Yoga, Meditation, Cooking
• Mixed Theme Week: tours could possibly include: Google, Sun Radio, KUT Radio, Capital Metro, Firehouse, Police Station

EXTENDED CARE
- $100/week for AM extended care (8am - 9am)
- $100/week for PM extended care (5pm-6pm)
- $175/week for AM/PM extended care (8am-6pm)

Our Impact
• ATX Kids Club has provided over 1000 educational adventures in the Central Texas Region.
• In 2022, ATX Kids Club provided educational adventures to children that covers 58 different zip codes in Texas while maintaining an 8:1 ratio.
• ATX Kids Club has served over 1500 youth since its inception in 2014.

The schedule of activities are planned in advance but subject to change due to weather. Please note that we are not a swim camp, we don't visit swimming pools. We will provide access to water via splash pads, barton creek, and Secret Beach (Colorado River) and do ask if your child can swim independently for our records. If your camper is looking to enjoy swimming pools while at camp, this is not the right camp for them. Covid-19 vaccines are highly recommended and encouraged for all eligible children to participate in our programs.
