Completed Grades 4 - 8 (Entering grades 5 - 9) Creativity will be in full force this summer! Campers who chose Art Camp will have the opportunity to create projects related to the weekly theme, and still enjoy all of the traditional camp favorites like outdoor games and swim time. A weekly field trip on Wednesday to a camp favorite or a special art related destination will help to add to the inspiration and fun of Art Camp! Dirt Alert! Art Campers should wear old clothing because projects and activities can get messy!

Week 1: June 1-5 Fun-ctional Art! Art that does double duty?! This week, campers will create projects that are both useful and beautiful. Trip: Brazee Street Glass Studio Week 2: June 8-12 Fun on the Wild Side! What has bold colors, unique shapes and fascinating patterns? Animals of course! Campers will take inspiration from the animal kingdom to create their projects this week. Trip: Cincinnati Zoo Week 3: June 15-19 Splish, Splash, Fun! Water everywhere! Liquid mediums will be used as the basis for all the projects this week. Campers will experiment with different mediums, and observe the effects to create some unique projects. Trip: Coney Island Week 4: June 22-26 Big Art, Big Fun! Bigger and Better! This week's projects will focus on creating sculpture and 3-D pieces using found" objects. You never know what you might end up with!Trip: Earth Joy (on site) Week 5: June 29- July 3 Little Mess, Lots'a Fun Prepare to get a little messy this week! Campers will create using paper mache, shaving cream, and maybe even their fingers and toes! Trip: Paintbrush Pottery Week 6: July 6-10 Fashionable Fun Many campers favorite form of creative expression is FASHION! This week projects will focus on wearable art- jewelry, clothing and other accessories. Trip: Michael Bashaw Studio Week 7: July 13-17 Feeling Funny? Fuzzy, Prickly, or Smooth? Art Camp is all about texture this week. Finished pieces will be "touch-able" and encourage lots of creativity! Trip: The Beach Week 8: July 20-24 High Flying Fun What's better than a cool breeze on a hot summer day? This week, projects will be air-powered! Mobiles, wind-chimes, fans and more. Trip: Air Force Museum - IMAX Week 9: July 27-31 Having Fun, Naturally The natural world is full of inspiration! Campers will draw ideas from the colors, shapes, and forms of the world around them to create wonderful pieces of art this week. Trip: Young's Dairy Week 10: August 3-7 The Fun-dementals Throw-back time! Campers will take inspiration from famous historical artists this week to create their own unique pieces. No history lessons here, just fun! Trip: Neusole Glass"
