Under the direction of Kellie Carter, several of our MVS all stars have come together to create and lead this awesome STEAM camp. In this imaginative challenge, students work in teams to represent one of the USA’s NASA stations. Each station will invent, design, and create a settlement on Mars. Teams work through modules each day as they tackle hands-on, in-depth science, technology, engineering, art, and math challenges. As NASA scientists, students will create a Mars habitat, build and program a rover, engineer and build rockets and parachutes, capture and use solar power, and learn about growing food in varying soil and atmospheric conditions. The curriculum in this camp fosters teamwork, while igniting curiosity, creativity, and problem solving. Instructors: Kellie Carter, Melissa Walts, Bryan Lakatos, Debbie Voetberg, and Patti DeLotell
