Camp Description
The Social Justice Workshop is an interactive, multidisciplinary way for kids to learn about issues around diversity, equity, and activism. Through a variety of readings, discussions, videos, local field trips, and experiential exercises, campers will explore issues around social justice, in an effort to make connections, become informed, and understand how to be thoughtful and meaningful activists in today’s complex world. Our learning will be documented in student-produced podcasts highlighting one aspect of this work that resonates with them. This is a great opportunity to come together as a community to learn about this important part of the United States’ past, present, and future, and creatively find ways to be upstanders.
