Elgin Academy

In improvisation, most or all of what is performed is unplanned or unscripted and created spontaneously by the performers. In this class, students will learn improv techniques in a supportive environment that allows students to take greater risks, gain confidence in their choices and themselves, and trust their fellow players. The class will focus on dialogue, action, story, and characters, with a concentration on creating strong scenes through fun, active, group games and activities. Students will then have the opportunity at the end of the session to perform and put their skills on display!
