We'll learn about how to use your camera, how to take more interesting photographs, and understand the world of photography as we explore the world around us in our quest to become more confident photographers. Students will need digital cameras that offer full manual control to get the most out of this enlightening workshop.
About the Instructor Tim is a photographic and installation art artist, and educator. He has his Masters in Fine Arts from Wayne State University and is an experienced photography instructor – teaching digital, darkroom, and alternative processes. Tim is the founder of Proscenia Film Society, a an organization striving to transform the lives of creators and audiences through the power and communal experience of films. He is also the current resident artist with the Mayflower Arts Center.
The Mayflower Arts Center is pleased to unveil its SEVENTH season with OVER 24 fun and creative camps and workshops for artists of ALL AGES! Each art camp is designed to heighten the imaginations of our artists through creative and technical exploration, incorporating techniques learned through both individual and collaborative works. At the conclusion of the camp, each artist will have the opportunity to present and exhibit their creations in a Gallery Exhibit/Artist Reception on Friday evening. The Gallery Exhibit will be open to the public. Friends and families are always encouraged to attend. Select artworks will be on display at the conclusion of the camp season in our Kids Art Show: The Best of Summer Art Camps Exhibit, August 10-24.
